Through this project, 2 primary schools will be built in Hap village in Xiangkho District and Kang village in Sopbao District. The Government of Japan has so far provided grant assistances to construct 15 primary schools in Houaphan Province, under the Grand Assistance Scheme for Grassroots Human Security Projects. There is acute shortage of school facilities in rural and remote areas in the Lao PDR, especially in Houaphan Province, and a number of school children face the problem of access to primary education. It is expected that primary education in these areas will be significantly improved through this project. (c) Embassy of Japan in the Lao PDR |
