JENESYS 2017 Laos 3rd Batch

　
1. Program Contents:

　　Date: 13/March/2018 ～ 20/March/2018
　　Place: Tokyo, Hokkaido prefecture

2. Number of Participants:
　　The program will invite 22 students who have strong interest in Japanese Culture. Five of them will be nominated by the Embassy of Japan in the Lao PDR and the remaining 17 students will be selected by application screening.

3. Qualifications for Participants (Students):

• Nationality: Applicants must be Lao nationals.
• Age: Applicants must be 15 to 30 years old.
• Academic background: Applicants must be students currently enrolled at high schools or universities.
• Health: Applicants must be in good health.
• Applicants must have strong interest in Japanese Culture.
• Applicants who study Japanese Language and/or Japan-related fields are given priority.
• Applicants who have participated in any programs organized by Japanese public organization are not qualified.

4. How to Apply:
　　The following documents should be submitted to the External Relations Department, Ministry of Education and Sports by 16:00 on 5 January, 2018 (Friday).

• Entry Form
• Copy of Certificate of School Attendance / Student’s Card
• Essay (in English, 300 to 500 words)

　　　“What do you want to learn from this program? And how do you make good use of the experience in the future?”
　　Notes: Students who live in local provinces can send the documents by Fax or E-mail (mentioned below).

5. Selection of Participants

• Selection of candidates will be conducted by a selection committee comprising representatives of the Ministry of Education and Sports and the Embassy of Japan in the Lao PDR.
• Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview with the committee. (Notes: The interview will be held on weekdays. Applicants might have to request permission for absence from school, if needed.)
